This is a useful service if you are thinking about altering the layout of your home and don't know where to start, or are looking to brainstorm some ideas on a potential re-design of your home and are looking for more design knowledge. Maybe you have an idea but are not sure whether it's got potential. Or possibly you are in the middle of some renovations and can't reach a design agreement with your partner. This service gives you access to 60 minutes of design insights that you can use as a sounding board for your ideas / vision. Home Assessment (£200) Yes please This design service is where we meet at your home and spend around 90 minutes together. We discuss your current home and analyse what isn't working for you, how your home isn't yet able to allow you to live the way you want to live or isn't working spatially or making best use of space. We brainstorm early stage ideas + typical design solutions, with the aim of giving you more insight into realistic redesign options for your home, so you can maximise its potential. This gets summarised in a report for you. After this site visit, if you would like to work together further, to develop your design concept, then a transparent design fee will be available tailored to the report and your specific projects needs. Design isn't just about creating spaces, it's a lifelong creative journey to stay open to possibilities. architecture + me My wee architectural journey My craft honing began within a variety of Aberdeen based Architect practices. Branching my way from home refurbishments, extensions and new build homes to include Hotel refurbishments, large scale office refurbishments, new build offices, restaurant refurbishments, school new builds and everything in between. Leading design teams became my normal and managing works on site became all consuming. But something was missing.... My earlier curiosities around the sacredness of our home environments had been put on hold and my soul began to feel empty and lost... in 2018 the Design Bothy was founded to realign my work with my heart. It is now my joy and my privilege to create with and learn from homeowners, helping you work out how to make your home feel better. My work feels nourishing, meaningful and supportive of the empowerment of others.
